It was reported earlier today that one of StatusCast's integrated cloud providers experienced an influx of scheduled maintenance notifications due to an inconsistency found in it's data transmission to StatusCast. As a result of this inconsistency a patch was preformed which inadvertently uncovered a backlog of notifications that could be processed. While StatusCast has built in redundancies to handle spam messages from cloud providers the format of the maintenance passed validation. Once this was identified our engineers isolated the backlog and stopped further notifications from being processed. As a result of this an additional redundancy has been established to prevent further occurrences.
